Time Flies gets a bat-winged version, with the same warped hourglass, watchful eye, melting clocks, and dripping gradients running through the whole design. The big wings give this bat cross stitch a darker silhouette, while the saturated rainbow palette keeps the psychedelic cross stitch side loud and slightly unhinged.
It sits somewhere between modern cross stitch and pastel goth cross stitch, with plenty of neon cross stitch color packed into the details. There’s a little creepy cute cross stitch charm in there too, buried under all the eyes, drips, and strange little details.
This is one of the first designs from my new Bad Trip psychedelic series, a collection built around bright colors, strange creatures, and things going a little wrong. Underneath all the color, it’s still a proper memento mori, with enough spooky cross stitch detail to keep the halloween cross stitch crowd happy year-round.
